  The teaching at Signal Field Studio concentrates on handbuilding techniques and the use of a variety of materials.  With a maximum of 4 people at any time, the focus on the student’s needs and there is a lot of individual attention.  We cater for all levels of skill.  Beginners who want to learn the basics of good pottery techniques and those who are more advanced are equally welcome.

We are offering classes at the studio for 2004-5 which run from 10.am to 5pm daily with lunch and refreshments included in the price.

There will be opportunity to use all of the techniques Barbara uses in her own work. We also run courses for those interested in using Egyptian paste. These will be run by Rachel Leigh-Hamilton (Rachel is a former student of Barbara’s and has since set up her own studio, selling work to local galleries). Rachel teaches at a local College as well as teaching part-time with Barbara. We can also give individual sessions on the potters wheel.
